Day 31: A vivid memory

I have very little vivid memories. My memory is so selective. I've been thinking about this post for days, unable to really pinpoint a specific memory. I'm sure some of you who have been following this blog challenge are noticing a pattern with me...

A really good one that I just thought of is when my mom, brother, and I took a trip to New York. The part I remember the clearest was watching the ball drop from the Marriott in Time Square where we were staying. Every January 1st I think of that. We also saw The Getty, The Met, Central Park, the Empire State building, the Statue of Liberty (from a Ferry), the Rockettes, 5th Ave, Tiffany's, The Phantom of the Opera, rode the metro, ate dinner at The View-a revolving restaurant at the top of the Marriott as well as at Tavern on the Green, and had room service every morning (and I lost 5 lbs. from all the walking).

Actually, I think my clearest memory of that trip was how much I loved being there. I loved the energy. I still wish LA had that kind of good, motivating energy, and it has been a wish of mine to live in NYC for at least a year ever since. I need to do that...
