Fall is here
It's the first day of Fall and we'll be having one of the first summer-worthy weekends we've had in weeks here in Cali (well, on the beach in Oxnard, CA, that is). I'd much rather be there (the photo above), in Minnesota on a lake watching the amazing explosion of color and tranformation that's going on right now.
But I'm not and I suppose I shouldn't be complaining because in a very short time it'll be freezing in Minnesota. And I don't mean the Cali version of freezing (you know, 50 degree weather. that's basically winter for us). I'm talking 20 below freezing.
Yes, I guess I'll enjoy the warmth and watch the leaves turn from afar.

Beautiful photo! Have a glorious day, Kellie xx
Wait.
Did you actually take this photo?
Where in California can I find a scene like this? San Diego doesn't get close and frankly, I'm going into serious autumn-colored leaves withdrawl. I need me a forest. One that changes color. Do such places exist around here?
Sadly, no I didn't take this photo and it's in Minnesota. I was just there and feeling envious of everyone who's experiencing sights like these right now :( I know there are forests in Cali. I'm pretty sure that would be northern Cali, like the border of Oregon or something. I'll have to look into that...
