Everyone could use a little Calvin
I'm feeling a bit pressed for time right now and I'm really anxious because I set a deadline of June 30th (that's less than a week away!!) for myself to finish the first draft of my first novel ever, the one I told you about before that's about dragons (more on my story here).
And I'm so close to finishing I can almost taste it!! It's extremely exciting, although I'll have tons of editing to do next month, but I think I'm even more excited about that because all the pressure to finish a first draft will be off my shoulders!!
In the next few months I'll be editing and sending off the first few chapters to agents and perhaps I'll share some bits and pieces of it with you as well!
So wish me luck! I'll be attempting to stay off the internet for the next few days while I finish.

Amanda, how is the draft going? All finished? This Calvin and Hobbes cartoon is one of my favorites -- it so reminds me precisely of what the philosophers I work with do.
I officially have a first draft now :) I'm going to town on it now!
